Little customization needed for snug fit
I purchased this item for a Dirt Devil Featherlite Bag-Less Model#M085845. Seems well made but I am yet to test the "washable" statement. I'll update this review if the item does not meet my expectations in the future. My only quirk with the item is that it didn't have the same snug fit as the original.
I added a bit of electrical tape around the barrel where this item slides onto in the container to create a tighter fit. Because it doesn't fit as OEM I knocked off a star, nonetheless, I intend on purchasing this item again when the time comes.
I noticed an improvement in suction performance of my vacuum after tossing the old one. Hence, the reason I changed it in the first place. The ability to rinse it off and reuse in theory benefits my wallet, the environment (reducing landfill waste) and helps keep odors in check.
I chose to spend a few bucks more to purchase this since it is "made in the USA" vs. the available china made product and I would do it...
DOES NOT FIT - LOOSE!
If you're replacing 2-JC0280-000... this filter will not fit. The seal necessary to optimize the vacuum's suction power is comprimised because the filter gasket is too large. The filter will not seat itself on the vacuum tube.
hepa vacuum filter
this micro allergen hepa filter really works. I'm asthmatic with allergies and once i purchased this product i noticed the difference. The filter is washable which makes it easier to clean and it's priced about 65% less than the filters at the store making it a great value. taurusjimmy
