Dyson AM01 Air Multiplier 12-Inch Table Fan in Silver/Iron (Factory Refurbished)

Safe Easy-To-Clean Fan
I have this fan and its biggest benefits are that it is safe around children, and its much easier to clean than a "normal" fan (you just wipe the dust off the edge periodically). My boyfriend thinks it is a little noisier than most fans, though. I didn't have a problem with the fan's noise, it reminds me of white noise which helps me sleep.

Noisy
I got this last year in the white. It was very loud, and air output was low. It looked nice though. I sent it back. It may or may not have improved since I tried it out, but this is a refurb so I doubt it. Being a refurb, it probably is not the latest model, therefore, not an updated model.
Pros:
Safe, if you keep your fan where small children can play with it. (Really?)
It looks good, not great.
Cons:
Seemed cheaply made, especially for the price.
Much noisier than a regular fan.
Air flow is lower, too.

Fan value $20
Dyson label $100

When I opened up the box and took the unit out, I had to do a double-take and make sure it wasn't damaged in transit. It wasn't as it works flawlessly. Unfortunately, I have a high-end Dyson device sitting on my work desk that functions beautifully, but looks horrid at sight.

The plain brown box I mentioned has a sticker affixed to it that states: AM01 12In US Sc/lr B Grade.

Unfortunately, there was no mention of a grading scale when I...
