Honeywell MN10CESWW 10,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner with Remote Control - White

I AM IN LOVE!!!
I purchased my Honeywell 10,000 BTU Portable AC from Walmart.com. Amazon has the same price. I just thought that if anything went wrong it might be easier to return to a local store. I received the ac within 2 days of ordering in great condition. It was nicely packaged. After I cut the shipping straps off I wondered how in the world I would get the unit out of the box without turning it on its side (which is not recommended). I quickly found that the box lifts off of its base for easy removal of the unit. Very nice! I wheeled the unit into my 15' X 15' bedroom and was pleased to see that not many pieces were involved in its assembly. The instructions are not clear at all as to how you attach the hose to the other two pieces. It just says to do it. I tried snapping the connections onto the hose, then prying the connections onto the hose. Tried to use a flat head screw driver and ended up putting a hole in the hose, whoops! Luckily its at the very end so it doesn't affect...

Very nice!
The Honeywell brand is not new to me. I have owned several Honeywell products and all were very dependable. I felt comfortable with the brand. When making a purchase such as this, one does not want to buy an unknown brand. Well, the 70 pound plus unwieldy box arrived via UPS. I am 78 years old and a box such as this is not an easy thing to contend with. The UPS man rolled it to the position I requested. After he left, I looked at the box and it appeared that it had been subject to a bit of careless handling! One of the strapping tapes was loose and I noticed a small blue plastic packet projecting from the bottom of the box. Hello! I carefully removed it from under the 70 pound box and it was the remote control! How did that find it's way out of the box? I was immediately concerned that it might not function. I quickly cut the strapping tapes and decided that the only way I could manage to access the air conditioner was to put the box on it's side and cut the side of the box. Smart...

Efficient and Effective During the Summer in the Midwest
While the current temperatures in Bismarck between 75-90 F may seem relatively cool compared to other parts of the nation, we still have not-so pleasant humidity to deal with and, living in pre-AC made homes/rentals, some of us have to resort to other methods to keep cool.

As for myself, I rent a room in a pre-AC home with after-market AC only on the ground floor and basement whereas I reside on the third floor with no AC. This means it gets super hot up there at night even with the windows open.

The opportunity to review the Honeywell MN10 was a godsend and couldn't have arrived sooner and maintains a very good cooling standard well after nearly a month of trying it out.

Now, I may have sold small home appliances at a local store including AC units of various sizes and styles but... that's doesn't mean I installed them or knew how to install them. Truth be told, I sold major appliances like washers and dryers for years and still have no clue how to...
